Approach
I practice psychotherapy from a person-centered, attachment-based, and trauma-informed framework. I focus on utilizing the power of neurobiology and relationship for healing. As a Heart-Centered counselor, I align “the work” through compassion, curiosity, and acceptance.
Utilizing an integrative approach, I make room for all parts of our humanness, physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. We’ll work together to connect with the resilience, gifts, and truth that lie within your own body and brain so that you can begin to feel a deeper sense of wholeness and well-being.
I consider each person’s unique life experiences, worldview and nervous system while building tools and resources that promote insight and healing. Primary therapeutic methods I draw from are:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Inner child/reparenting work
- Internal Parts work
- Neurobiology
- Mindfulness practices
- Somatic awareness
- Depth oriented therapy
- Existential inquiry
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I place confidence in you as the expert of your life and strive to treat your vulnerability with great care, presence, and respect.
I love helping people cultivate a deeper, more loving relationship with themselves and helping to shift conditioning and beliefs around this being “overindulgent” or “selfish.”
I’ve seen time and time again, change in the form of increased freedom, joy, empowerment, peace, clarity, and ease in relationships when we show up for ourselves.
